For the Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy at the Institute of Psychology and Education we are looking for a

Postdoctoral Academic Staff Member (m/f/d) in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy

Full-time positions are generally divisible.

Our department possesses extensive expertise and international visibility in the fields of digital mental health, psychotherapy research, somatopsychology, and health services research (). You will join a dynamic team with strong national and international networks, offering numerous innovative research opportunities and avenues for collaboration. We are part of both the German Center for Mental Health (DZPG) and the German Center for Child and Adolescent Health (DZKJ). Access to excellent funding programs for early-career scientists is available.

This postdoctoral position is limited to three years with the possibility of extension, offering you the opportunity to establish and expand your own research program.

Your profile:

  • Excellent doctoral degree (or, at a minimum, outstanding progress and performance in a doctoral program) in Psychology or related empirical-experimental disciplines
  • Prior experience in conducting scientific research projects
  • Ideally, prior experience in applying for third-party funded projects
  • Ideally, prior experience in the fields of digital mental health, data science/AI/smart sensing, and psychotherapy research
  • Advanced or completed training in psychotherapy is an asset but not a requirement
  • Strong communication skills, enjoyment of teamwork, and high resilience
  • Excellent written and spoken command of English and German

Your responsibilities:

  • Conducting and disseminating research projects
  • Acquiring and managing third-party funded projects
  • Teaching courses (4 contact hours per week/semester)
  • High level of teamwork skills, sense of responsibility, organizational ability, and self-motivation
  • Co-supervision of BSc and MSc students
  • Participation in academic self-administration
  • Willingness to pursue further academic qualification is expected
