For the Institut of Molecular Medicine we are looking for a

Postdoctoral Researcher Stem Cell Niche Biology and Mechanobiology (m/f/d)

The Grigoryan Lab (Stem Cell Niche & Aging Research Group) at the Institute of Molecular Medicine, Ulm University, invites highly motivated and qualified scientists to apply for a postdoctoral position within the ERC-2024-STG-funded project 1101165141-MANAGE HSC. This project combines stem cell and stem cell niche biology, bone marrow/niche engineering, and cell mechanics to investigate changes in the mechanical properties of the aging stem cell niche and their impact on hematopoietic stem cell function.

Your profile:

• PhD in Mechanobiology, Stem Cell and Bone Marrow Niche Biology, or a related field

• Professional experience in cell mechanics research

• Professional experience with confocal microscopy and data visualization

• Professional experience in cell culture

• Experience with in vivo experiments in mice (FELASA B certificate) is an advantage

• Strong planning and organizational skills, as well as ability to work independently

• English language proficiency (written and spoken)

Your responsibilities:

• Develop your research project by planning and conducting experiments and analysing and interpreting the data ontained

• Present your research project at lab meetings and national and international conferences

• Supervise undergraduate and graduate students

• Participate in lab organization
